Made in Michoacan
These wooden milagro crucifix wall hangings are handmade and painted with varied coloured trimmings. The designs feature many aluminum alloy “miligritos” nailed to the centre and La Calavera Catrina in the centre. La Catrina is the referential image of Death in Mexico and is commonly seen during Day of the Dead festivities.
The word Milagro translates to “miracle” in spanish. The name was given for small religious charms that were traditionally nailed to crosses or statues of saints or carried for protection and good luck.
Sizes are all roughly 16cm wide x 22cm high
NOTE: As each crucifix is hand made, designs may vary slightly with some imperfections.
